COVID-19/Healthy Studio Guidelines

Densmore Piano Studio is committed to maintaining a safe, healthy, and stable learning environment for students and parents.

Families who wish to attend in-person lessons must agree to and follow the studio’s COVID-19/Healthy Studio Policies and Procedures. These policies have been put in place to minimize the risk of transmission of COVID-19 and other respiratory viruses such as colds, flu, and RSV.

The following safeguards will be in place for in-person lessons:

  • Students and accompanying parents will not come to the studio for an in-person lesson if they or any family members are experiencing any signs of illness (including fever, cough, sore throat, headache, congestion, runny nose, or vomiting). An online lesson will be offered in these circumstances.

  • Unless special arrangements have been made with the teacher, there should be only one family in the studio at a time. The schedule will allow time for each family to exit the front door before the next family enters.

  • Face masks and/or social distancing may be required periodically at the teacher’s discretion.

  • The washroom is equipped with touch-free fixtures, including paper towel dispenser, pedal trash can with lid, and motion-sensor soap dispenser.

  • Surfaces will be disinfected during breaks between lessons, including piano keys, piano bench, tabletops, and door handles.

  • There will be no group classes or in-studio recitals until further notice.
